Schedule Recordings from your Verizon Mobile Phone

With TiVo Mobile, you can access TV show listings and even schedule shows to be recorded on your TiVo DVR, all from an easy-to-use interface on your Verizon Wireless phone!

Setting up your cell phone to use TiVo® Mobile

Before you can start finding and scheduling shows, you’ll need to set up the TiVo Mobile application on your phone. It’s easy.

Show the steps

In the “Get It Now” menu of your Verizon cell phone, find and download the “TiVo Mobile” application.

At the “Welcome” screen, select “Settings.”

Select “Setup” and follow the onscreen instructions to configure the TiVo Mobile application.

  • If you have a TiVo DVR:
    Sign in using your tivo.com email and password. Once you have completed setup and successfully connected to your tivo.com account from your phone, you will not have to repeat this process. If you do not have a tivo.com account, you may create one at: http://www.tivo.com/manage.
  • If you do not have a TiVo DVR:
    Click “No, I Don’t Have a TiVo Box.” Then follow the onscreen instructions to enter your ZIP code and cable or satellite provider. This tells the TiVo Mobile application and service which shows are airing on your video source.

Availability supported anywhere within the National Enhanced Service Rate and Coverage Area. Airtime is required for use. TiVo Mobile pricing is set by Verizon.

Finding and scheduling shows

Once the TiVo Mobile application is set up and running on your phone, you’re ready to start finding and scheduling shows.

Hide the steps

From the TiVo Mobile main screen, you can choose shows from one of TiVo’s provided lists or search for a particular show. Select one of the following options:

  • Daily Picks: Each day we bring you great television recommendations. Click on any show and, if you have a TiVo DVR, schedule the show directly from the Daily Picks screen.
  • Most Popular Shows: These are the most popular shows as chosen by TiVo users. The list is updated daily.
  • Search by Title
  • Search by Actor/Director
  • Search by Keyword
  • Browse by Category

Enter a search term and click “Search.” You’ll see a list of shows that match your search criteria and air within the next two weeks. Select any of the shows to read an episode synopsis, or continue on to scheduling.

Note: If you enter a “*” after any word, the TiVo Mobile service will search for all occurrences of that phrase and any sequence of characters after it. For example, if you search for “west”, TiVo Mobile will find shows including only the word “west”. However, if you search for “west*”, TiVo Mobile will find shows that include the words: “western” as well as “west”.

Once you’ve found a show that you would like to schedule to your TiVo DVR, click “More Info and Recording Options.”

Click either “Get a Season Pass” or “Record This Episode.”

On the following screen, select “Recording Options.”

Note: When setting the priority under Recording Options, if you select “Cancel other programs if necessary,” the DVR will override anything else that is set to record at the time that the show or series will air.

Click “Schedule It” to complete your request.
