What is TiVoCast?

TiVoCast is an exciting feature from TiVo that lets you easily download TV programming to your TiVo box via your broadband Internet connection. The programs will appear in your Now Playing List, just like regular television recordings.

How does TiVoCast work?

TiVoCast downloads are available to all current TiVo® service subscribers with a TiVo® Series2, HD or Series3 HD DVR connected to their home network and a broadband Internet connection, at no additional charge.

How do I connect my TiVo DVR to the Internet?

You will need to connect an Ethernet cable or wireless network adapter to your TiVo Series2, HD or Series3 HD DVR, then configure your DVR to your home network. Learn how to get connected at TiVo.com/GetReady

What's on TiVoCast?

Great, innovative video content that doesn't fit the traditional format or time constraints of broadcast television. Our programming partners include The New York Times, CNET, iVillage, The Onion, and Heavy, among others. And we're introducing new partners regularly, so check back often.

Does TiVoCast programming interfere or conflict with my regular TV recording or watching?

No. TiVoCast programs are downloaded in the background and do not interfere with normal DVR operation. Your TiVoCast programs will appear in the Now Playing List just like all other recorded programs.

Where can I find TiVoCast programs and shows?

You can request a download or schedule a Season Pass recording to a particular TiVoCast program on your broadband-connected TiVo by going to TiVo Central, selecting Find Programs, and then selecting TiVoCast.  Alternately you can also use your web browser and visit our Online Scheduling section or go directly to TiVo.com/TiVoCast. TiVoCast content is also included in results when you use Swivel Search.

Does the TiVoCast feature cost extra?

Not a dime! The TiVoCast feature is included as part of the standard TiVo service.
