Starring host DJ Lance Rock (Lance Robertson) and five friendly toy characters (Muno, Brobee, Foofa, Toodee and Plex), this show is visually appealing and engaging in a fast-paced framework filled with song and dance. The music is very hip, an eclectic mix of pop, 80s, hip-hop and styles you've never heard before that are rhythmic and eminently danceable. Overall, this series promises to be very entertaining with interesting dynamic characters who are great role models. Educational themes emphasizing healthy habits are imbedded in the music. The list of musicians appearing on this show is daunting, bringing an unmatched collection of music to preschoolers unlike anything done before. Adult Juror Comments: "If this series doesn't get you to dance along, you just don't dance! From the opening scene and continuing throughout the episode - the puppets, the kids and the adults are all dancing, singing and movin'." "The bright colors and high energy music throughout hold your attention and are so positive that even if you're having a bad day - this would have to turn it around." The show is fast-paced and fun -- about an American cartoon character who somehow becomes a part of a Japanese animation. Mikey is draw in the US style for kids animated shows, whereas the other characters drawn in Japanese animation style. Effectively deals with issues of friendship and loyalty, and making people feel welcome. It also suggests friends can be found in people who don't seem approachable at first. Bigfoot presents Meteor and the Mighty Monster Trucks embraces rough and tumble physicality, sportsmanship and resilience. If you liked Thomas, you'll enjoy this show. In CGI animation, this show premiered in the fall of 2006. It offers fictional adventures of a collection of monster trucks with the personalities of young children. The main character is an expeditionary rover named Meteor. The other characters are various other types of trucks. The episodes take place in the fictional town of Crushington Park where the little monster trucks learn valuable life lessons such as honesty, friendship, and dealing with bossy people, new friends and responsibility. Adult Juror Comments: "The show is so packed with action that the kids don't realize what lessons they're learning." Kid Juror Comments: "Cool." The boys are particularly drawn to this show, which fuels their appetites for action. The cast of brightly colored trucks all have distinct personalities similar to the Thomas characters that the kids relate to very well. Recommended Ages: 2-5
